Native communities and artisans are the rightful caretakers of the diverse ecosystems of the upper Peruvian Amazon and the arid coastal plains of northern Peru. We walk together with them as they seek their own path, taking care that the footprints are theirs, not ours.

Our innovative approach involves working with Apu’s (leaders of the native communities in the upper Peruvian Amazon) to employ wood species and other sustainable resources that they would normally discard. We also work with artisans in the heavily populated coast, learning together how to utilize undervalued natural resources. Finally, we work closely with federal forestry officials to ensure and promote compliance with global forestry issues.
